Ko A Dang or
A Dang
Island
is one of 51 Island of Tarutao National Park is located on the
south of Satun province, Satun is 950
kilometres. from Bangkok to the south, and
Ko A Dang is 58 kilometres from
Satun. The location
is 6º32'17"
N - 99º18'10" E on the southwest
near the border to Malaysia
Ko A Dang is the second
largest
island
of Tarutao National Park. The
island is about 5 km long and 4.2 kilometres wide.
Ko
A Dang have beautiful sandy beaches and coral
reefs. There are several small islands
around Mu Ko Ra Wi including Ko Ra Wi , Ko Li
Pe, Ko Dong, Ko Hin Ngam, and Kao Yang . Diving
can be done around Ko A Dang and Ko Rawi. The
area of Ko Ra Wi is mountainous and covered with
forest and has a large waterfall where
water runs all year round.
Ko
A Dang island offers coral reefs, a beautiful
bay, and a white sandy beach. Diving and
snorkeling can be done around Ko Ra Wi , Ko
Cha
Bang where light-coloured flower corals lie
underneath the sea. Deepwater and
shallow-water snorkeling for antler coral and
table coral is recommended around Ko Yang and
Ko Kata. Snorkeling for hard coral is
recommended around Ko Adang, Ko Rawi, Ko Kra,
and Ko Dong
Island
Near by Ko Ra Wi
Ko Li Pe is located 10 kilometres
from the south of Ko Ra Wi. This is where a sea
gypsy village is situated. On the 13th-15th day
of the waxing moon in May and November, sea
gypsies would gather for a traditional
celebration for 3 days and 3 nights. They
would join in building a boat to float in the
sea to in the belief that this would predict
that fishing fortunes.
Ko
Hin Ngam is located in the southwest of Ko
Adang. It is full of shiny black pebbles
along its beaches.
Ko
Khai is located on the north , 24 kilometres
from Ko Ra Wi. The famous natural stone
arch which is somewhat of a symbol of Tarutao
National Park is located on Ko Khai.

's Southern Bus Terminal to Ampher La-ngoo, (
Pak Bara Pier
)
From
Pak Bara Pier to
Ko A Dang , you can take a private tour boat
which serves tourists everyday. This tour boat
departs from Thap Lamu Port at 10.30 am. in
everyday. From the port to this islands is about
58 kilometers which takes about 3 hours of
journey. The return boat from Ko A Dang to
Pak Bara Pier
departs at 10.00 pm. and 14.00 pm. in everyday.
However, this service would be closed at May 16
every year because entering of raining season.
Once reached Ko Similan, motorboats are
available for tourist to get to different
islands per the following fare

Flights
from Bangkok-Had Yai operate daily. From Had Yai
take a bus to
Pak Bara Pier,
Satun province then take a ferry to Ko A
Dang.
